The disgraced ex-Supervisor of the Town of Ramapo was sentenced to 30 months in federal prison followed by 3 years supervised release by Judge Cathy Seibel today at the federal courthouse in White Plains. The Judge also imposed a $75,000 fine.$60,000 of the fine is due within 30 days, and the remainder will be paid back after he is paroled at the rate of $400 a month for the 36-month duration of the supervised release and ending with a $1,000 final payment.
There is also $2,000 assessed at the rate of $100 for each conviction.
St. Lawrence was told that he is to report to begin his sentence March 15, 2018, but there is the option to report earlier if he desires to do so. He did request that he serve his time at the closest institution. That would be the Federal Correctional Facility on 2 Mile Drive in Otisville, New York, a minimum security prison.
St. Lawrence’s problems with the law are not over with the closing of this case. He, along with Michael Klein and Nathan Oberman, still face civil charges filed in federal court by the SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission). And there also is a personal defamation lawsuit brought by the courageous whistleblower Melissa Reimer against St. Lawrence.
