“The New York Boulders announced Wednesday the Frontier League has decided to suspend the 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic after initially delaying the start date multiple times.
The Boulders will have to wait to make their Frontier League debut after spending the last nine years in the Can-Am League.
“We’re disappointed of course, but my fellow owners in the league worked hard over the last four months to find a path forward to play some type of ball for our fans,” New York Boulders president Shawn Reilly said. “It became very obvious over the last few weeks that with all the different state and local requirements with health departments, it was just impossible to play the schedule for the Frontier League.”
