On February 20, 2012, Preserve Ramapo received notice that our website had been credentialed by the developers at DocumentCloud and that an account had been created for PreserveRamapo.org.
DocumentCloud is a web-based software platform created for journalists to allow the searching, analyzing, annotation and publication of primary source documents used in reporting. Journalists from newsrooms including the New York Times, ProPublica, the LA Times, the Guardian, and countless others have uploaded over 1.5 million pages to DocumentCloud as of June 2011. The Preserve Ramapo folder in DocumentCloud has dozens of documents including full texts of lawsuits, press releases, studies, financial statements, deeds, audits, petitions, etc. We will continue to post important documents on the site as they emerge in our news coverage. Also, the Journal News and other news organizations file documents in DocumentCloud–your search for Preserve Ramapo will find their uploaded files relating to their coverage of Ramapo.
