A write-in campaign against Joseph Raiti failed last night with more than 200 votes cast. Today, Commissioner Raiti sent this thank you to those who won the five-year term:

Dear Voters of the South Spring Valley Fire District,
I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. I am writing to express my deepest gratitude and appreciation to all the wonderful voters who came out and supported me during the recent commissioner election for the South Spring Valley Fire District.
I am truly humbled and honored to have received your votes of confidence. It is an overwhelming feeling to know that so many members of our community stood behind me and placed their trust in my abilities to serve as the commissioner.
I want to assure you all that I will work diligently and passionately to fulfill the responsibilities entrusted to me. I am committed to representing the best interests of each and every resident within the district and to ensure the safety and well-being of our community.
It is through the collective effort and engagement of the community that we can achieve great things, and I am grateful to have your unwavering support. Your participation in the election process and your belief in my candidacy have reaffirmed my commitment to making a positive difference in the South Spring Valley Fire District.
